‘A self-learned man is a well-learned man.’ This is what I have learned so far from my two years of experience in blogging.

Let me narrate a wonderful experience of my life that made me realize the importance of blogging.

I made up my mind to go for CSS Exam 2021. CSS is generally considered the toughest exam in Pakistan. In this exam, the Essay is usually considered the hardest nut to crack. Believe me; I managed to pass the Essay paper without joining any mentor, or any academy.

Well, I am not bragging here. The purpose of this is to show you how blogging prepared me for the paper.

When my peers were busy with their mentors preparing for Essay in particular and then giving Essay mock exams in academies, I remember being always occupied with my keyboard and sharing my thoughts with the fellows in the virtual world.

While sitting in the examination hall for the essay paper, it felt like I am writing an article on a topic that I was already used to.

The article we (bloggers) write generally range from 1000 to 1500 words, or sometimes to even 2000 words usually. In CSS Essay exam, we are also required to write an essay of 2500 words. This was something that I was already accustomed to. In short, I wrote an essay of around 2200 words.

When the result was announced by FPSC, I got 40 in Essay, the same score that the topper of that year managed to obtain.

I would like to give credit solely to blogging because it taught me how to express myself in words. I learned to arrange my ideas making them coherent and sensible that would ultimately appeal to the readers.

That is why I chose to write on the topic “Why Every Pakistani Student Should Start Blogging.”

Unfortunately, the education system of Pakistan, particularly for the lower and middle classes of society, is thoroughly flawed. It neither teaches us creativity nor enables us to think out of the box.

Sir Azad Chaiwala sounds very right when he lambasts this system. It is a bitter truth that an average Pakistani student is in no position to compete with the world outside the state’s boundaries.

What is even worse is that most parents in Pakistan do not trust or accept this technology. They take it as something that would spoil their children.

My Gosh! I am getting a bit distracted. Let’s get back to the topic.

Why should students start blogging? Well, apart from making you creative, blogging offers you a multitude of other benefits as well.

Blogging Offers Multiple Benefits to Students

Blogging isn’t just about writing and publishing; it is a business in itself. It will benefit the students in multiple ways.

  • Blogging Provides Financial Independence

Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) reveals that 31 percent of Pakistani youth are currently unemployed. The socioeconomic conditions of Pakistan do not offer good hopes for the future too. So, in such desperate times, blogging can offer every student a helping hand. It has the potential to make them financially independent and self-sufficient. Among all the platforms that provide online earning resources to students, blogging is considered among the top.

  • Blogging serves as a knowledge builder

Moreover, blogging has the potential to enhance your knowledge and vocabulary too. It is a universally accepted fact that one learns more in the practical field rather than from books. This rule of thumb is equally applicable to blogging as well. A blogger consciously as well as unconsciously learns a lot.

  • It provides more Exposure to the World

Apart from this, blogging will provide you with greater exposure to the world. Through your words and writings, you will be able to make your place among some of the best and the most reputed people in the world. Your social circle will grow. You will find some like-minded people in the cyber world.

  • You can bring Change to Society by Blogging

Blogging will provide you with a platform where you can spread your ideas. You can even bring changes and revolutionize society (even the world) through the strokes of the keys. In just a matter of a few seconds, you can spread your words to the topmost hierarchy of society. Every journalist who shares independent views is a blogger.

“The pen is mightier than the sword”.

  • Blogging can offer more Economic Opportunities

When you will be able to make a good reputation of yours through your ideas, there is a great possibility that many good companies and even media houses would approach you to get your services. In short, blogging opens up more doors to a promising future.

Wrapping Up

To cap the whole discussion, blogging has in itself so much rich potential that we cannot simply dispute it.

So, enter into the world of blogging now & witness what it has to offer you in return.
