Formula to calculate minutes in a year

In order to calculate minutes in a year, we will do two simple calculations.

• Firstly, we will calculate the total minutes in a day.
• Then, we will multiply the answer by the total number of days in a year.

We have already calculated the total number of minutes in a day i.e. 1440. To calculate it, we simply multiplied the total number of minutes in an hour (60) by the total number of hours in a day (24).

• 60 * 24 = 1440

Now we will multiply the number of minutes in a day by the total number of days in a year, i.e. 365.

• 1440 * 365 = 525,600

So, there are 525,600 minutes in a year.

Note: There are some years that have more than 365 days, i.e. leap year (366 days). For such years, we will multiply 1440 by the number of days accordingly to find out the minutes in that year.
